The middle school boys basketball games at Electra have had some slight changes. There will be two games, however, not all players will be playing in both games. The first game will feature a combined team from Chico that will play Electra's 7th grade team. The format for this first game will be different, as the teams have agreed to play two-10 minute halves. The clock will be running until the last two minutes of each half. The second game will be against Electra's 8th grade team and will be played normally, with 4-quarters and a normal clock.
In addition to this change in format for the first game, the teams have agreed to start the second game 10 minutes after the first. With this format change, and only 10 minutes between games, it is very likely that the second game will begin before 6:00 pm. Parents who have a son playing in only the second game are encouraged to show up earlier than normal in order to ensure they do not miss the beginning of the game.
In addition to these changes, we also want to pass along the following details for Monday's games:
1. Games will be played at the old High School (it is by the football field and is NOT at the new high school). This is where their gym is still located. The address for this location is 400 E. Roosevelt Ave., Electra, TX.
2. Tickets must be purchased online prior to the game. No cash will be accepted at the gate. The link to purchase tickets is:
