I am very excited to be beginning my fifth year of service to the community of Chico, TX in the capacity of Elementary School Principal. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in 1997 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and taught 4th grade with some of the most outstanding educators in the state of Texas for eight years. With the support and encouragement of my Principal in 2004 I left the classroom and became a Technology Integration Specialist at a time when technology was just bursting onto the education scene. This experience led me to work with Middle and High School teachers as their resource and support thus effecting the academic growth of students on a very different and exciting front.  In the summer of 2005 I received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Phoenix.  That same fall I received my first administrative opportunity becoming the assistant principal at Bridgeport Middle School. In 2006 I moved back to my academic roots becoming assistant principal a Decatur Middle School where i served two year until  In 2008 I was awarded my first principals gig becoming the Principal at Decatur's DAEP. These academic opportunities enriched my life in so many ways.
